Preserved Chicago Surface Lines 1908 built electric streetcar # 144. The Illinois Railway Museum. Union Illinois USA. August 2006.
No longer working for the Chicago Transit Authority, this preserved city streetcar built in 1908 now hauls visiting patrons at the Illinois Railway Museum. It was in actual working transit service in the city of Chicago Illinois from 1908 to 1954. It was kept on the CTA Roster for fantrips, charters and special occasions...until the official end of Chicago streetcar operations on June 21st, 1958.
