I took this photo after work one hot summer afternoon, in August of 2006.
We are looking east on location, at the La Vergne Metra commuter flagstop depot near Ridgeland Avenue, in west suburban Berwyn Illinois. It is a very busy time here on the Metra /BNSF Railway 3 track Chicago to Aurora "Racetrack" mainline, as many Metra express and local commuter trains travel to and from Chicago Illinois.
A westbound express coommuter train to Aurora Illinois, is seen flying through the La Vergne flagstop depot at speed! Definately a good time to stand back. Whooosh!!!
