A ride on board a 1951 vintage streamlined electric streetcar. Kenosha Wisconsin USA. Saturday, June 17th 2000.

Interior view of a Kenosha Wisconsin ex Toronto transit Commision streetcar.

The year of 2000 witnessed the return of electric streetcars to the midwest in an actual urban setting. On Saturday, June 17th 2000, I attended the official grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony, of the "New" electric trolley line in downtown Kenosha Wisconsin. The line utilizes 5 refurbished 1951 vintage PCC electric streetcars, that operated in Canada for the Toronto Transit Commision until 1995.

Here is an interior view of one of the cars as We ride though downtown Kenosha Wisconsin near the lakefront. The line operates on a two mile loop of track, and there are plans for future expansion.

From the moment the first Mercedes-Benz CLS four-door "coupe" was introduced to the public, other German luxury automakers hit the drafting board. According to the German auto experts at AutoBild, Audi is just over a year away from unleashing its own cleverly packaged sedan.
