I took this photo on a brilliantly sunny winter morning back in January of 2007.
We are looking east on South Archer Avenue at the intersection of West 47th Street. A heavy cut of double stack container cars, is being pulled up the south hump at the BNSF Railway Corwith Yard.
When I had attended nearby Curie High School from 1977 to 1981, I would often go train spotting at this location after school during the days of the predecessor railroad Atchinson, Topeka & santa Fe.
