Aside from My obvious "Train" interests, one transportation subject matter that I have always found to be fascinating, are the old steam powered paddle wheel river boats of decades past.

During 1977 and 1978, I rode aboard the sternwheel steamboat Natchez in the city of New Orleans Louisianna. with the three large steam whistles blowing at the dock and the steam powered Caliope on the roof, this was a fun voyage along the Missisppi River.

Although I have been to Louisville Kentucky a few times over the years, I have never had the opportunity to ride aboard the Belle Of Louisville sternwheel steam boat, wich was built in the year of 1914. I hopeto ride this boat someday eventually.
