Refueling a narrow guage steam locomotive at the Hesston Steam Museum. Hesston Indiana. June 1991.

One of My all time favorites amongst the many photos I had taken at The Hesston Steam Museum in northwest Indiana...is this one.

I took this unique behind the scenes working photo, during a June 1991 visit. The museum's 1940 built Czechloslovakian meter guage 0-4-0T side tank steam locomotive, was running low on coal.

This photo demonstrates, how a John Deere front end loader tractor, is utilized to help assist in loading coal to the bunkers located in front of the engine cab, with the help of a crewman standing on top of the side tanks with a shovel in hand.

Fascinating!
