Cherry Hill Junction shanty. The Strasburg Railroad. Strasburg Pennsylvania USA. August 1990.

I took this unique 35mm black and white photograph, during an August 1990 vacation to Strasburg Pennsylvania USA.

This rather fancy little shanty at a place known as Cherry Hill Junction on the tourist hauling Strasburg Railroad, is located just across Cherry Hill Road from the Groffs Grove picnic stop depot.

At Groffs Grove, scheduled two train meets occur between the outbound train enroute to nearby Paradise Pennsylvania, and the inbound train returning to the East Strasburg station.

I was lucky to shoot this black and white photograph under hazy, hot and humid Summertime conditions, as this gave My photograph a very "Steam Era" look from at least 60 years ago or so.

Thanks.
Eddie K.
