Old Chicago & NorthWestern Railroad steam era coaling tower. ( Gone.) Demolished on July 25th 2006. Chicago Illinois., a photo by Eddie from Chicago on Flickr.
I took this photo with a disposable camera, back in late July of 2006.
Two old concrete steam era coaling towers from the former Chicago & NorthWestern Railroad, stood until a few days after I took this photo at the Union Pacific M 19A Diesel Shop facility in Chicago.
These two coaling towers had outlived their actual usefulness, as the former C & N,W retired all of their remaining steam locomotives for good in 1956.
This facility, is located at 400 North Pulaski Road inChicago Illinois USA.
