I found this classic late steam era photograph from the former Grand Trunk Western Railroad at My Link page Fallen Flags.Org, located to the right of Your computer screen at http://www.rr-fallenflags.org/
The Grand Trunk Western Railroad was one of My favorites amongst the numerous railroads, that had served the city of Chicago Illinois. I enjoyed the GTW for several reasons. One of those reasons, is that they were one of the last railroads in North America, to operate steam locomotives in daily service, until the early 1960's.
Railfan photographer Dennis Schmidt, photographed Grand Trunk Western 4-6-2 Pacific type passenger service steam locomotive #5627, at Muskegon Michigan in November of 1956.
