The Downers Grove Public Library located at 1050 Curtis Street in west suburban Downers Grove Illinois, welcomes local Chicago historian, photographer and multi media producer Edward Kwiatkowski to the library on Saturday afternoon, September 15th from 2:00 until 3:15 PM.
Eddie will be hosting a multi media slideshow and lecture presentation about the history of public transportation in the city of Chicago Illinois.
Many vintage photographs of the electric streetcars that once operated on various transit routes on Chicago's city streets from the Chicago Surface Lines Company, to todays Chicago Transit Authority begining in 1947, will be shown at this presentation.
Come to the Downers Grove Public Library, and step aboard a transit ride down memory lane. This will be a fun and nostalgic event, and We hope to see you there.
