This photograph was E Mailed to Me recently by a Mr Mark Yurkiw who has attended a few of My photo slideshow /public speaking appearances at some of the Chicago area suburban public libraries recently.

This photograph was taken at the now closed and greatly missed Kiddieland Amusement Park in Melrose Park Illinois, way back in 1969.

A little girl is enjoying a ride aboard the amusement park's miniature gasoline powered tractor ride, along the south edge of the park's midway.

I visited Kiddieland for the first time when I was 9 years old back in 1971, and I vaguely remember riding this tractor ride. I believe that this ride may have been replaced at some point in time during the 1970's.

Kiddieland Amusement Park was a fun place to visit in the greater Chicagoland area, and sadly closed for good after 81 years of operation in September of 2009.

Today, this is the site of a large Costco wholesale warehouse club store.
