A scene out of the 1950's. The Strasburg Railroad. Strasburg Pennsylvania USA. August 1990.

I took this 35 mm black and white photograph, during an August 1990 vacation I went on to Strasburg Pennsylvania.

This is definately one of My personal al time favorite photographs that I had taken on this long overdue vacation trip that summer.

It is the end of the day at the Strasburg Railroad engine house, and two adults with a little girl, stop to look at Strasburg Railroad Baldwin 2-10-0 steam locomotive # 90 being prepared for an overnight rest.

The Strasburg Railroad's General Electric 44 ton center cab switcher along with steam locomotive # 90 and the way these people are dressed, give this photograph a 1950's era steam to diesel transition era look on America's railroads.

Thanks.
Eddie K.
