One of the loveliest stations I have come to enjoy in recent years, is this simple and utilitarian Metra commuter rail station in northwest suburban River Grove Illinois, located in Chicago's northwest suburbs. This commuter station has been repainted at least three times in the last two years, the last paint job being this tasteful green with a red roof and gold letters on the ends. This depot is located on Thatcher Avenue, just north of Grand Avenue in River Grove Illinois.It is close by to the suburban towns of Elmwoood Park and Franklin Park.
