I took this photo on a lovely Autum day, in October of 2006. A westbound Metra commuter local enroute to Elgin Illinois, has just boarded a small group of passengers at the Western Avenue commuter rail station. A second or two after I snapped this image, the airbrakes hissed, the locomotive bell began to ring, and the train slowly pulled away.
