I took this photo on a mild and lovely late afternoon, in October of 2008. The Autum foliage is making it's own seasonal appearance known, as a Canadian National freight train departs the former Illinois Central Hawthorne Yard in nearby west suburban Cicero Illinois. The train is slowly rounding the southbound interchange curve at Hawthorne Junction, and will soon be heading southbound over the Belt Railway of Chicago tracks inside the Chicago city limits.
