I took this photo after work one evening in March of 2007, at Hayford Junction on Chicago's southwest side. An eastbound CSX Transportation Company intermodal container train, has just left the nearby Belt Railway of Chicago Clearing Yard near Chicago's Midway Airport. Seen here on the head end of the train, is a shiny and very brand new General Electric model AC 4400 CW diesel electric roadswitcher. Heavy tonage like this requires the right tool for the right job. These locomotives are just that, Big and Powerful.
