Eastbound CTA 1985 M.A.N bus on West 111th Street. Chicago Illinois. August 1990.

I took this photo way back in August of 1990.

One of My all time favorite southside Chicago neighborhoods I had visited quiete a bit during the 1980's and early 1990's, was non other
than Mount Greenwood on West 111th Street.

I took this photo facing west on West 111th Street, just a few blocks east of the bus terminal loop at South Springfiled Avenue. Seen here wearing the original two tone green and very off white cream color scheme, is a very "Shoe Box " looking 1985 M.A.N transit bus from the European Nation formerly known as West Germany.

Because of their plain and very box like body style, many local CTA bus fans refered to these as being nicknamed "Bricks".
