I took this photo last year, at the Oak Park Society of Model Engineers,H.O Scale Model Railroad Club.

I grew up on the near southwest side of Chicago during the 1960's, 70's and 80's.
One of My favorite railroads that had served that area of the city, was the former Atchinson,
Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad. i enjoyed the old Santa Fe so much, that I decided to model it in H.O Scale, using equipment and color schemes I remember them using from My youth.

Seen here approaching the swing bridge over a yet to be scenicked river scene on the club layout, is My 1960's era Santa Fe freight train.
