Kenosha Transit 1975 GMC fishbowl bus on a fantrip. Kenosha Wisconsin USA. April 29th 2000.

On April 29th in the year of 2000, the Chicago chapter of the Omnibus Society of America operated a bus fans charter trip on Kenosha Transit. Our bus on that sunny but chilly spring day, was this 1975 GMC transit coach. Kenosha Transit was going through a transition. The electric streetcar tracks and overhead wires were already in place on 54th and 56th Streets, and the first two refurbished ex Toronto Canada streetcars would arrive in about a month. The bus fleet was being modernized with Nova's, and these trusty old GMC's were in their final years of service in Kenosha. Some were preserved.
