Changing a lightbulb. Glenview Illinois. June 2008.

Hello everyone!
Welcome aboard another edition of Eddie's Railfan Page from Chicago Illinois.
I took this photo one hot summer morning in June of 2008, in north suburban
Glenview Illinois. A crew member of a local electrical contracting and lighting company, is seen maintaining the overhead parking lot light fixtures at the
Plaza del Prado shopping center. The Plaza del Prado is located at Willow and
Phingston Roads in north suburban Glenview Illinois. It is a modest but adequete
strip mall featuring a Jewel/ Osco store, a Mc, Donald's Hamburgers , Starbucks Coffee, and a small variety of stores on the premises.

The visiting consumers night time safety is being properly maintained in the
malls parking lot, and the place is kept up rather immaculate as well.

Eddie's Railfan Page isn't just about trains, it's also about everyday working life
and the people who make it happen for all of us daily.

Thank You.
Eddie K.

Hi Eddie -
I was researching Glenview and came upon your site. Are you aware that the city of Des Plaines is trying to make the choo choo diner, a historical venue, to move its operations so the city can build its own building. The choo choo diner has been in business for over 50 years! An institution for many families over the years and located 1 block from the train station. Many failies make it an outing including a train ride and visit to the choo choo. You can help save the choo choo!

Too Funny. That is actually our companies bucket truck! We perform the lighting maintenance at PDP as well as the day porter/cleaning services! THanks for your kind words....we're doing something right based on your comments. I actually found this blog searching for an updated siteplan for the center and this was link 1.

Cheers
