Former Smokey Mountain Railroad 2-6-0 type steam locomotive # 23 on display. The Chattanooga Choo Choo Hilton Hotel. Chattanooga Tennesee USA. 1990.
I took this photo on a May 1990 Family vacation to the Smokey Mountains in
the States of Tennesee and North Carolina. Seen here is an old steam locomotive from the Smokey mountain Railroad, cosmetically backdated with a guady paint job, fake baloon smoke stack, box headlight, and wooden front pilot or "Cowcatcher" as
they were originally known as. This locomotive and dispaly of old passenger cars, can be seen and enjoyed at the Chattanooga Choo Choo Hilton Hotel in downtown Chattanooga Tennesee. The Chattanooga Choo Choo Hilton Hotel, is actually the former Chattanooga Union Station.

This almost looks like the
train from Petticoat Junction.
I used to watch that TV show
many years ago.
