I took this photo after work one day, in June of 2007. A Canadian National freight train, is crossing the Belt Railway of Chicago crosstracks at Hawthorne Junction. The train is departing Chicago's Crawford Yard, and is now entering west suburban Cicero Illinois. Locomotives from pre 1999 predecessor railroad Illinois Central, are on the head end of this lenghty freight train.
