I took this average, everyday behind the scenes working neighborhood photo on a very suuny and mild 30 Degrees Farenheight winter day, on Monday, January 5th, 2009. This photo was taken on My way to work on North Osceola Avenue, just north of West Roscoe Avenue. A crew from the utility company known as Peoples Gas, are seen repairing the site of a possible underground gas main leak. Their hard work and dedication was greatly appreciated. Not long after I had taken this photo, Chicago's winter weather took a turn for the bitterly cold with heavy Lake effect snow accumulations and single digit outdoor temperatures. This repair was obviously done in the knick of time.
