The preserved CTA 50th Avenue rapid transit station from west suburban Cicero Illinois. The Illinois Railway Museum. Union Illinois. August 2006.

I took this photo on an August 2006 visit to the Illinois Railway Museum in Union Illinois. Retired from service and replaced by a larger and very modern rapid transit station in 1978, this old wooden rapid transit station serves museum patrons today at the Illinois Railway Museum. It was trucked here in 1978, after being donated to the museum by the Chicago Transit Authoority. It served trains on the CTA "Douglas Park" rapid transit line, wich is now todays CTA Pink Line.
