A relatively obscure piece of local Chicagoland railroad preservation, is this modern 1981 vintage Atchinson, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad wide vision caboose. Long retired from freight train and switching local use, it is now on display at the Santa Fe Prairie Nature Preserve on River Road, in southwest suburban Hodgkins Illinois.
