After a day working behind the wheel as a Paratransit Bus Driver, I wanted to have some local fun and visited nearby Wilmette Illinois.
A really nice place to visit for some great homemade ice cream, is the Bobtail Ice Cream Company store on Central Avenue in Wilmette's Village Center business District east of Green Bay Road.
This is an old fashioned take out or sit down ice cream shop with a tasteful retro charm all of it's own. I recommend the Cubby Crunch ice cream flavor Myself. With Vanilla Ice Cream mixed with Toffee and Chocolate...It is very refreshing and flavorful on these hot summer days.
I could enjoy this all year long.
