Late afternoon switching at the CN Crawford Yard. Chicago Illinois USA. August 2007.

EMD roadswitchers from predecessor railroads Grand Trunk Western and the Illinois Central, are seen at work one late afternoon in August of 2007. This is the Canadian National Railroad's Crawford Yard, previously owned and operated by the Illinois Central Railroad. This photo was taken on location at West 33rd Street and South kostner Avenue on Chicago's near southwest side. The large factory like building with the two smokestacks in the background, is the Commonwealth Edison Crawford Generating Station.
