Foreward interior view of a Kenosha Wisconsin PCC electric streetcar.

On the date of Saturday, June 17th 2000, the city of Kenosha Wisconsin opened their brand new electric streetcar circulaor line in the downtown section of Kenosha near the lakefront. Kenosha Wisconsin phased out electric streetcars in 1932, and temporarily relaced them with electric trolley buses for a number of years. They were gone by the early 1950's.

Many years and several economic hardships later, the city of Kenosha is rebounding with several new housing and retail developments, and a streetcars system using these refurbished 1951 vintage modern steamlined electric streetcars, acquired from the Toronto Transit Commision in Ontario Canada. This interior view shows how it was like to ride aboard modern postwar electric streetcars decades ago.
