Chicago bound Metra commuter local arriving at the Hollywood depot. Brookfield Illinois USA. June 2007.

With late afternoon summer sunshine glinting off of it, a Metra commuter local enroute from Aurora to Chicago Union Station, slows for a stop at the tiny Hollywood depot on the east side of west suburban Brookfield Illinois. Brookfield actually has 3 commuter rail stations on the BNSF Railway mainline. There is the Hollywood flagstop depot shown here, wich is near the Chicago Brookfield Zoo, the larger Brookfield station at Prairie and Brookfield Avenues, and the tiny Congress Park flagstop just east of the border near La Grange Illinois. Brookfield is a pleasant community with plenty of photographic activity for visiting railfans on the BNSF Railway.
