Although there was absolutely no train activity to be found at the time of My visit, the BNSF Railway's former Atchinson, Topeka & Santa Fe mainline seen here in a barren winter landscape, was nonetheless worth a photo spot on My blogsite. Just east of this location is the large intermodal yard that was built during the early 1990's. The BNSF mainline here has it's busy and yet not so busy moments like any other railroad mainline. Prior to May 1st 1971, the Santa Fe's passenger trains like the combined Super Chief / El Capitain travelled this line between the citties of Chicago illinos and Los Angeles California.
