A popular miniature passenger train from Chicago's recent past, was the gasoline powered Kiddieland Limited replica 1950's era diesel streamliner train.
This train, operated at Chicago's Kiddieland Amusement Park in nearby northwest suburban Melrose Park Illinois from the 1950's, until the park had closed for good in September of 2009.

On Saturday, May 14th, 2011 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, I will be hosting a photo slideshow presentation at the Franklin Park Public Library entitled "Kiddieland Memories".
The library is located at 10311 West Grand Avenue, in near northwest suburban Franklin Park Illinois.
If You have an old home movie transfered to DVD of Kiddieland, or some photos of the place...perhaps even a story or memory to share of the place...then You will enjoy this nostalgic presentation.
If You were a former Kiddielannd Amusement Park employee, or just someone who enjoyed visiting Kiddieland with Your family or freinds...then By all means, "Come out and enjoy the fun!"
