I took this photo after work one hot summer afternoon, in August of 2006. This is the busy Belt Railway of Chicago clearing yard locomotive terminal and shops building. This facility in near southwest suburban Bedford Park at the Chicago city limits, services and maintains locomotives from the Belt Railway of Chicago, and the other Class 1 carriers that come and go on transfer trains entering Clearing Yard. This is located just south of Chicago's Midway Airport on South Central Avenue.Friday, April 18, 2008
