A working miniature railroad crossing. Kiddieland Amusement Park. Melrose Park Illinois USA. Early June 2007.

I took this photo one evening after work, in early June of 2007. Seen here looking west from the east parking lot alongside 1st Avenue, is a small railroad crossing signal that warns motorists and pedestrians when the Kiddieland Limited is passing through the parking lot. The Kiddieland limited passenger train, operates on 14" guage track, and circles the perimeter of the amusement park in a counter clockwise rotation.

In a few moments, the Kiddieland Limited will leave the station, and the lights and bell of this crossing signal will soon activate. Ding. -Ding. -Ding. -Ding.
