I took this photo on a June 1993 visit to the Illinois Railway Museum located in Union Illinois.Illinois Terminal # 1605, is a preserved early 1950's vintage EMD model GP-7 roadswitcher diesel locomotive. These locomotives were primarilly used in freight train service, but some railroads did use them on secondary passenger trains as well. It was a versatile locomotive and very practical locomotive model in it's time.
