I just recently located this old photo I had taken from My early railfan days recently. I took this photo in the Spring of 1983, near the Berwyn commuter rail station at Oak Park Avenue and Windsor Street in west suburban Berwyn Illinois. A Burlington Northern 1st Generation EMD SW Series diesel locomotive has just left nearby Clyde Yard, and is proceeding westbound. Coming from the smokestack is a shower of exhaust sparks that I didn't even notice when I was taking this picture at the time. Spectacular surprise!Tuesday, April 15, 2008
