Eastbound Kenosha PCC streetcar on 56th Street. Kenosha Wisconsin USA. Opening day of service, Saturday, June 17th 2000.

I took this photograph on the official Grand Opening Day celebration for the new Kenosha Wisconsin trolley line. Seen here on the official first day of service on Saturday, June 17th 2000...is a refurbished 1951 vintage PCC electric streetcar formerly owned by the Toronto Transit Commision in Toronto, Ontario Canada. These streamlined postwar era streetcars were retired from service in Toronto in the year of 1995. A number have found new homes in railroad and trolley museums throughout North America.

This car is painted in the yellow and green colors used by the city of Cincinnati Ohio when they used this particular type of streetcar.
