I took this photo looking north from Archer Avenue -Illinois U.S Route # 171 in Summit Illinois. Two first generation early 1950's era EMD NW-2 yard switchers, are seen working at Argo Yard near the Chicago city limits. The sun has since set on these classic Indiana Harbor Belt units. Many have been retired and scrapped, or traded in for newer heavy duty locomotives.Thursday, April 03, 2008
