Hi everyone!
This is Eddie K, Your host and photographer here at Eddie's Railfan Page.
On Saturday, October 8th, 2011 from 1:00 until 3:00 PM, I will be hosting a "Railfan Photo Slideshow" event at the Lyons Public Library. The Lyons Public Library is located at 4209 Joliet Avenue, in west suburban Lyons Illinois.
Due to popular demand and many requests from people who have attended My photo slideshow presentations in the recent past, I will be showing My homemade musical photo slideshow I have put together entitled "When Chicago Rode The Streetcars".
This historic musical photo slideshow, features authentic historic period background music ranging from Ragtime Piano, Dixieland Jazz, and 1940's era Big Band Standards, with many photographs taken around Chicago prior to the end of CTA electric streetcar operations in June of 1958.
If You grew up in Chicago during this time, or know a family member or friend who did, then You won't want to miss this historic presentation about the Chicago Surface Lines, and Chicago Transit Authority's electric streetcars that once traveled down Chicago's city streets.
This will be a fun event, and We hope to see You there.
Thanks.
Eddie K.
