Digital Live Sound Video: The Hesston Steam Museum. Hesston Indiana USA. Sunday, September 12th, 2010.

I photographed this digital live sound video recently at The Hesston Steam Museum in northwestern Indiana.

It is late in the day, as the museum's miniature 14 inch track guage live steam train is viewed arriving at the Hesston Junction Depot.

If this locomotive looks familiar to any Chigoan reading My blogsite, it should. The streamlined 4-6-4 Hudson type steam locomotive originally pulled passenger trains at Chicago's Kiddieland Amusement Park in Melrose Park Illinois from 1949, until it was donated to The Hesston Steam Museum in the year of 1982.

Kiddieland Amusement Park closed on Sunday, September 27th, 2009 after 81 years in operation. The other Kiddieland steam locomotive, a streamlined 4-8-4 type is also currently at The Hesston Steam museum recieving a mechanical overhaul.
