Switching activity at the busy Belt Railway of Chicago Clearing Yard. Chicago Illinois. July 2007.




I took this photo looking east from the top of the South Cicero Avenue overpass bridge near West 67th Street.

We are at the Chicago city limits border by southerst suburban Bedford Park Illinois. Two Belt Railway of Chicago EMD roadswitchers, are viewed pushing a cut of cars at the east or Chicago side of Clearing Yard late in the afternoon.
