The Hesston Steam Museum. Hesston Indiana USA. Sunday, September 12th, 2010.

I took this photo during My Sunday, September 12th, 2010 visit to The Hesston Steam Museum in northwestern Indiana.

A quiet lovely and unique structure on the museum property, is the open air Hesston Junction Depot. This depot serves as the boarding and disembarking area, for the museum's large 2 and 3 foot dual narrow guage trains, as well as for the 14 inch track guage miniature train ride.

While proboubly not much shelter on windy or chilly days that sometimes occur early or late in the operating season, it serves the job well on those mild or even hot summer days.

The tasteful victorian era Gingerbread trim and cream colored paint job, make this lovely structure stand out. It is also a nice place for the visiting public to sit down and rest their feet.
