I took this photo during the July 1983 West Chicago Railroad Days celebration, in far west suburban West Chicago Illinois.
Aside from the many railroad artifacts on display, the downtown parade and the local carnival...The star attraction of the event, was visiting 1907 Alco built Chicago & NorthWestern Railroad steam locomotive # 1385 from the Mid Continent Railway Museum in North Freedom Wisconsin. This old operating coal burning ten wheeler steam locomotive from the early 1900's era had sto;em the show.
