Cap'n Crunch Cereal. An all time favorite of kids and adults.

One of My all time favorite memories of growing up as a young boy in Chicago during the 1960's and 70's, was enjoying a bowl of Cap'n Crunch Cereal before either going to school, or watching those Saturday morning TV cartoon shows.

I could recall, they had some really delightfully crazy and comical TV commercials with some interesting characters ranging from Smedly the Elephant, The Crunch Berry Beast, and My favorite...that crazy bumbling French pirate Jean Le Foote , "The Barefoot Pirate". Ha Ha Ha!

Now it is many years later, and although I mostly eat things like an occasional hot bowl of oatmeal, or a nutricious bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios...I still can occasionally find My Wife and I, as well as a few other adults out there...enjoying an occasional bowl today of Cap'n Crunch Cereal.

I seem to recall that the character Smedley the Elephant, was used to promote Cap'n Crunch Peanut Butter Cereal during the late 1960's or early 1970's.

Yes, Jean Le Foote was a "Goof", but I still think that they should have gave Him his own cereal.

I liked all of the Cap'n Crunch characters.

I would like to see a feature lenght live action Cap'n Crunch movie in the theatres.

I could imagine Jason Alexander from the TV show Seinfeld as Cap'n Crunch, Johnny Depp as Jean Le Foote, and Jim Carey as The Crunch berry beast.

Lots of family fun!
