Coming this fall to the Lyons Public Library! "When Chicago Rode The Streetcars"! Hosted by Eddie K from Eddie's Railfan Page http://eddiesrailroad.blogspot.com Saturday, October 8th from 1:00 until 3:00 PM!

Hi everyone!
This is Eddie K, Your host and photographer here at Eddie's Railfan Page.

Please mark Your calendar!

On Saturday, October 8th, 2011, I will be hosting a railfan phot slideshow at the Lyons Public Library, located at 4209 Joliet Avenue in west suburban Lyons Illinois.

Due to popular demand and many requests from people who have attended My shows in the recent past, I will be showing My homemade musical photo slideshow presentation entitled
"When Chicago Rode The Streetcars"!

If You grew up in the city of Chicago Illinois prior to the end of CTA electric streetcar operations in June of 1958, or know someone like a friend of the family or a relative who did...then You won't want to miss this nostalgic presentation set to authentic historic period music ranging from "Ragtime Piano, Dixieland Jazz, and 1940's era Big Band Standards.

See Chicago how it once looked like many years ago.

This will be a fun event, and We hope to see You there. Admission is free.

Thanks.
Eddie K.

this sounds like a really great program, hope I can make it that Saturday. My grandfather was a conductor on one of those streetcars and I vividly remember riding them to Lincoln Park down Crawford when I was a child. Good memories of a great time in life.
