I took this photo one summer afternoon, in August of 2006. The CTA Brown line rapid transit line, known in recent years past as the Ravenswood Elevated line...was in the begining phases of a complete rebuilding. The former Ravenswood Elevated line, could only occupy six car rapid transit trains instead of the normal eight car consists during rush hour operations.
An eastbound Brown line train enroute to downtown Chicago and return, is seen upon arrival at the North Southport Avenue CTA rapid transit station in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood.
