I took this photo on a hot summer afternoon in June of 2008. A southbound Canadian National Railroad heavy transfer freight train traveling over the Belt Railway of Chicago, is viewed crossing the Canadian National ex Illinois Central crosstracks at Hawthorne Junction along the Chicago city limits border at the begining of west suburban Cicero Illinois. This heavy and very lenghty slow moving transfer freight train, is enroute to the Belt Railway of Chicago Clearing Yard in Bedford Park Illinois.
