A pre Pace bus from Suburban Transit at the intersection of South Archer and Harlem Avenues. Chicago Illinois USA. April 1988.
This is proboubly one of the "Rarest" bus photos I have ever taken in My collection.
I took this photo on a lovely Springtime afternoon, way back in April of 1988. We are looking east on South Archer Avenue at the intersection of South Harlem Avenue/ Illinois U.S Route # 43. We are at the Chicago city limits just east of Summit Illinois. a 1970's era GMC TDH series New Look Fishbowl Windshield bus from the former Suburban Transit Company, is viewed in the left turning lane leading to South Harlem Avenue. Chicagoland had many different suburban bus companies prior to the formation of the RTA in 1974, and later Pace in 1984.
