I took this photo one late afternoon in June of 2008. A southbound Canadian National heavy transfer freight train has recieved clerance, and is now approaching Hawthorne Junction enroute to the Belt Railway of Chicago Clearing Yard. The train is traveling southbound over the Belt Railway of Chicago tracks. In a moment, this lenghty freight train will soon be passing through the Canadian National ex Illinois Central crosstracks at the border of west suburban Cicero Illinois.
