Many times when I am posting this blogsite, I really enjoy posting an occasional image of everyday life around the city of Chicago Illinois as well. I feel that although trains and buses are nice, images like these deserve their due here as well.
I took this photo on a hot summer afternoon in August of 2007. The Walgreen's Drug Store near the intersection of North and Kimball Avenues in Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood, is very busy as a shipment has arrived at the stores recieving door.
I couldn't resist the opportunity to photograph one of Walgreen's own tractor and trailer semi trucks, in full Walgreen's corporate markings. Reference pictures like this are often overlooked by everyday people.
The tractor is a 3 axel White Freightliner conventional.
