Hi everyone!
This is Eddie K, Your host and photographer here at Eddie's Railfan Page.

Please mark Your calendars.

On Saturday, November 5th, 2011 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, I will be hosting
a local Chicago area "Railfan Photo Slideshow" at the Franklin Park Public Library.

The Franklin Park Public Library, is located at 10311 West Grand Avenue, in near northwest suburban Franklin Park Illinois USA.

The main theme of My presentation, will focus on "Riding the CTA rapid transit during the 1950's and 60's" in Chicago. For the many fans of public transportation subjects, this historic presentation is bound to bring back many happy memories
for people who grew up in Chicago and rode the Chicago Transit Authority's elevated and subway rapid transit lines during the 1950's and 60's era.

As part of the presentation, I will be showing a DVD video I had recently obtained
entitled "The CTA EL and other electrics", wich features many local Chicago area color silent railfan home movies of the various CTA elevated and subway lines, photographed during the 1950's and 60's.

If You could remember the long gone "Garfield Park" elevated line on the west side of Chicago, the "Lake Street" elevated line at ground leval with crossing gates in west suburban Oak Park Illinois, or even the electric interurban trains of the Chicago, Aurora And Elgin or the Chicago, North Shore And Milwaukee railroads that shared the CTA right of way to and from downtown Chicago Illinois, then You will not wan't to miss this historic presentation of Chicago Transit Authority history.

This will be a fun event, and We hope to see You there.

Thanks.
Eddie K.
